St. Luke's Book Club -
Potluck Dinner & Discussion

Friday, October 25
7pm-8:30pm
The Parish Library

Come together, share in a meal and a discussion about the book Secrets in the Dark: A Life in Sermons, by Frederick Buechner.

In this collection of sermons, Buechner faces and embraces difficult questions and doubt as essential components of our lives, rather than as enemies that destroy us. "Listen to your life!" is his clarion call and Secrets in the Dark will inspire laughter, hope, and bring great solace.

Over dinner we will discuss aspects of the book, using guiding questions to help get us started. This Book Club is open to anyone, so if you are a member of the church and interested, please consider inviting a friend to read the book and come to dinner.

Copies of the book will be available at the Sea Cliff Village Library and/or for sale at St. Luke's.
