Rector's Corner (June 2018)

    June 25, 2018 | The Shepherd

I begin this Spring and Summer realizing that, as a parish
community, we should expect to hear from God. We
need to assume the spiritual position of leaning forward
in expectation. As you have heard me say often, I believe
there is a fine line between heaven and earth and that God
breaks into this realm often as he did in the incarnation of
    Jesus in human history.

So, as we move into a new season, I urge you to seek a
deeper relationship with the God who knows us each by
name. In your relationship with yourself, with friends
and family members, at work, and at St. Luke’s, we need
to expect God to show up, to communicate with us, to
give us guidance and direction, and perhaps forgiveness
and a new lease on life. Let us approach each day with
this expectation. My friends, God is knocking on the door
of our lives! I am excited about our journey together in
the coming months. God bless you and your search for a
    new rector.

    Faithfully,
    Charlie
