Worship Services at St. Luke’s

We are currently holding online services on Sunday at 10:00 am and on Weekdays at 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. To access our online services, visit our calendar and click the link for the service.

Join us on Sundays! People usually arrive 10 – 15 minutes before the service begins.

Our services are relaxed, family-friendly, and accessible to all.  Following each service, we gather in our parish hall for coffee hour to share food and conversation. All are welcome!

During July and August, we have one family communion service. Following the service, we gather in our parish hall for coffee hour to share food and conversation in a relaxed setting. All are welcome to join us.

9:00 am – Holy Eucharist Rt. II Service

From September to June, we have two Sunday services which provide different ways to celebrate our faith.

8:00 am – Holy Eucharist Rt. II Service – This service is a time of quiet reflection. It is a small, intimate service with no music.
10:00 am – Holy Eucharist Rt. II Service – This service is a family-oriented celebration with music, Children’s Sunday School, a playroom nursery, and coffee hour.

Babies and Young Children

For those who want it, from September to June we offer a fully-staffed playroom Nursery for children under 6 years. Throughout the year our family services are child-friendly and all are welcome to attend. There are books and crayons available in the back of the Sanctuary to make things a little more interesting for our younger worshipers.

 School-Aged Children

From September to June, children age 6 and over are invited to attend our weekly Sunday School. Shortly before the service, children meet their teachers downstairs in our classrooms to learn about the week's lesson. After the sermon, the children and their teachers join their families in the sanctuary for communion and the remainder of the service.

Accessibility

Our sanctuary and parish hall are fully accessible by means of a ramp at our main entrance on Glen Street. We have a fully accessible restroom adjacent to our parish hall.

What to Wear

Come as you are – we will gladly welcome you and make you feel at home. You'll fit in no matter what you're wearing, from dress clothes to jeans.

When You Arrive

Our ushers will greet you at the door and help you find a seat. You will be given a Visitor’s card asking for your name and contact information. If you would like, you can fill out the card and drop it in the offertory plate. If you have any questions, please ask! The Ushers will be happy to help you.

Communion

All baptized people are invited to receive communion at St. Luke’s. Those not baptized are welcome to come to the altar rail and cross their arms across their chest to indicate that they would like a blessing. The Ushers invite each row to approach the altar, beginning in the front. Gluten-free wafers are available upon request.

Special Prayer Requests

There is a book in the back of the sanctuary for special prayer requests. If you would like to request a prayer for yourself or a loved one, just add the name to the list in the book and it will be included in our service for two weeks. If you have any questions, please ask an Usher.

Large Print Books

Large print prayer books and hymnals are located in the rear of the sanctuary. If you need one, please ask an Usher and they will be happy to help you.

Coffee Hour

We gather after our services in our parish hall for snacks and fellowship. Coffee hour is a great way to get to know our other parishioners. We sincerely welcome all to our coffee hours and hope you will join us.
